Elvis Dies, TH77 Materializes.

August 16, 1977... I vividly recall sitting in traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel entrance when WNEW’s Scott Muni announced that the king of rock had died on his throne. I continued the drive into Manhattan, parked the car and carried the pair of master mix tapes that we had worked on for most of the summer up to Mastersound Studios where Joe Gastwirt was about to put the final touches on what was to be the Talking Heads debut LP. Little did I know that this album would be a significant stepping stone in the annals of the rock & roll chronicle.
